Kim Zeydel has been teaching since 1985. She currently is teaching Math Skills, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Leadership. She has taught in California as well as Idaho. Her Idaho credentials are in Mathematics, Social Studies, and Sociology. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in juvenile delinquency prevention from Johnston College at the University of Redlands, California. Johnston College is an alternative college with 200 to 300 students. After getting married and having two children, she went back to school to earn a Master of Arts degree in education with certifications in mathematics and social studies. She earned a a Master’s of Science degree in Mathematics in August 2008. In October 2007, she was selected Idaho State Finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Besides spending most of her life in Southern California, she has lived in New York City (intern at the United Nations), Nicaragua (Peace Corps intern), and Alaska (her husband worked on the Alaska Pipeline). She has lived in Idaho since 1996. Since her husband is Dutch, she has spent many vacations in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles visiting his family.
