Tami has been in school counseling for six years.  Prior to counseling Tami enjoyed a career in the travel industry.  She has been fortunate to travel to many interesting places including Turkey and Thailand.  She still enjoys traveling and also spends her free time with family, boating and, skiing at Lucky Peak, snow skiing and participating in BSF.

Tami is an Idaho native and received a Masters in School Counseling degree from Boise State University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Idaho State University.

Tami Smith is the academic counselor at Meridian Academy.  In addition to checking credits and helping assure students have completed graduation requirements, Tami is the testing coordinator, meets with students individually, talks with parents and staff, and occasionally facilitates a group.
