Robin in the pirate hat, his wife, and his two grandchildren

Robin came to teaching after a long career in Treasure Valley radio and television. In radio he held positions as air personality, production manager, program director, promotion director, and news director.  In television, Robin ran studio equipment and produced evening newscasts.  In addition to broadcasting, Robin dedicated ten years to nonprofit fundraising and publicity.

Robin and Sandy have been happily married for more than 35 years.  They moved to Idaho from Arizona in 1977. Their daughter, Allison, was three months old at the time.  She’s now a first grade teacher at Ponderosa Elementary in Meridian. Ali and her husband live in Boise. Robin loves to play with his two granddaughters.

Robin is a 1987 graduate of Boise State University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing.  He is also a graduate of Brown Institute, a broadcasting technical school in Minneapolis, MN, where he earned an F.C.C. (First Class Operator License). Robin’s continuing education includes classes to improve his teaching and classroom management skills.

Meridian Academy Teacher’s Aide Robin Lee Grube’s job is to motivate and help students do the best they can in school so they become successful, positive adults.  This is Robin’s first year as Teacher’s Aide following two years as a Substitute Teacher for the Meridian School District during which he subbed at Meridian Academy many times.  His workday begins at 7:30 a.m. and runs past 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
